My name is James Wang. I am new to the district of Grosse Pointe and I am from Dallas, TX. I moved here this year because of my father's job relocation; he received an offer to be a Professor of Pathology at Wayne St. University. We drove nearly 20 hours to get here, passing states such as Ohio and Tennessee. At first I was quite frustrated about leaving a place I called home for the last six years. However, I now believe it is a great opportunity for me to meet new people and live in a different environment. I think Grosse Pointe is an excellent community and one I will come to love.
I enjoy doing many things outside the classroom. I like to play basketball, soccer and swim. I also enjoy talking to friends and going out to have fun with them. When I'm home, I'm usually on the Internet or watching TV. I do know that that will have to change as the school year begins. My favorite type of food is Chinese food, and I am happy that I'm able to eat it everyday. I also ate a lot of Mexican food back in Texas because of the large population of Mexicans. I am sure that I will be able to experience different types of cuisine here at Grosse Pointe.
I played the viola in the Orchestra in Dallas and will continue to do so here. I love playing my viola because I feel like it's cool to produce the different sounds yourself. I also enjoy many different types of music such as R&B, Alternative, and Pop. My favorite movie of all time is Saving Private Ryan and my favorite video game is the FIFA series.
